The former Fort Collins High School, built in 1924, has been transformed into a 330,000-square-foot performing arts center for Colorado State University and the surrounding community. The facility encompasses five performance venues: the Griffin Concert Hall, the University Theatre and Studio Theatre in the Bohemian Theatre Complex, the University Dance Theatre and the Organ Recital Hall and two museums: the University Museum and the Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising. The design reflects the building’s historic elements while achieving acoustical excellence in a state-of-the-art academic and performing arts center for music, theater, and dance. |
