The warehouse at Camp George West was constructed in 1913 and is one of a collection of buildings associated with the Colorado National Guard. Camp George West, established in 1903, was the only permanent training facility in Colorado and also served as the main storage and supply center. The majority of the buildings at Camp George West were designed by Colorado National Guard architects and were predominately stone and frame buildngs that reflected the Army standard plans. The warehouse building was the first warehouse to be located on this site as Colorado National Guard activities required the use of large, centrally located warehouse facilities.
