City and County Building Denver

Projects completed in this landmark Denver building include restoration and replication of the building's original appearance, installation of a new HVAC system, as well as the design of new courtrooms and office spaces. Considerable research was conducted to preserve detailing from the original Classical Revival style of this historic building.

 
Clayton County Police Headquarters

This new three-story building designed for Clayton County provides 94,500 sf of essential spaces for the country's police headquarters, 911 center, and emergency operations services. The design represents the stature and character of a civic building with a clear entry accentuated by grand columns and glass curtain wall.

 

Eagle County Courthouse

Completed in 1932 during the Great Depression, the original Eagle County Courthouse was scheduled to house the county's health and human services. Existing interior concrete vaults were removed to open the interior of this historic Art Nouveau building, taking great care to preserve existing historic details which were studied and recreated in the addition.

 

Highlands Ranch Metro District Service Center

The 18,200 sf service center for Highlands Ranch was designed to communicate the concept of the park itself. Redstone is the primary material used throughout the part, while metal corrugated roofing relates to other park facilities. The building houses parks, recreation and open space services.

 

Lilley Gulch Recreation Center

This popular neighborhood recreation facility underwent a renovation and addition creating a new image along with enhanced facilities for users. The design creates a new entry sequence and adding a distinguishing new entry, reception and lobby area, and administrative spaces. A new state-of-the-art gymnastics facility is featured along with a cardio-fitness theater.

 

Carmody Recreation Center

In Lakewood, this four-building complex was retrofitted for the City of Lakewood who acquired the property. Started with a master plan process, the final design features state-of-the-art recreation facilities. A unifying dramatic entry orients visitors inside where abundant natural light fills the facility.
