OUR CULTURE

SLATERPAULL Architects has been designing buildings throughout Colorado and the surrounding region for over 40 years.  We consider ourselves design partners who work closely with our clients to solve problems with thoughtful solutions.

On July 21, 2014 we announced our merger with Hord Coplan Macht, a firm much like ours. In 1977, Hord Coplan Macht was founded in Baltimore, Maryland with the goal of providing the highest quality architectural, landscape architectural and planning services. Together, we firmly believe in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving. Now, as one firm with three offices and over 170 employees, we have a diverse studio environment with award-winning education, multifamily/mixed use, healthcare, landscape architecture, historic preservation and planning studios to serve the diverse needs of our clients.

Our Denver studio, a renovation and adaptive re-use of former Denver Fire Station, Engine House No. 5, provides an open, vibrant and creative work environment for our employees.  The office, hailed as the first LEED Platinum historic building in Colorado, is a true testament to our mission and culture.  It has allowed for a more open dialogue about design with “all-office” design charrettes, open daylight workspaces and a research and development lab. Our offices in Baltimore, Maryland and Alexandria, Virginia are both in vibrant urban setting and share this design approach with open floor plans and collaborative workspaces. Our number one priority is to create an environment that inspires great design and enriches our work.
