Denver, CO (September 9, 2013) – SLATERPAULL Architects announces that Timberline PK-8 has opened after a 14-month renovation and addition process. SLATERPAULL worked with St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) to create a 14,000-square-foot addition between two existing school buildings for the new $13.3M PK-8 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) school in Longmont, CO.
SLATERPAULL’S design for Timberline PK-8 combined Heritage Middle School and Loma Linda Elementary School with a 14,000-square-foot addition that includes a shared library, administration suite and counseling suite. The completed building at 158,000 square feet will serve over 1,100 students pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
“Timberline PK-8 has been a collaborative effort with the staff and community and we are confident the new PK-8 campus will serve the students and educators of St. Vrain Valley School District and provide a 21st century learning environment with a STEM focus,” says Adele Willson, AIA, LEED AP, principal, SLATERPAULL Architects.
